The "bio based 1,2-pentanediol" independently developed by Henan Hosn, a subsidiary of Yino Biologic Group, has been selected as one of the 12 annual innovative products in China due to its technological innovation, economic benefits, and industry influence, becoming the only representative of new materials with "non grain bio based technology" as the core in the list.
The innovative product "biobased 1,2-pentanediol" that was awarded this time, relying on high-value utilization technology, has built a full process closed-loop production system of "corn cob → furfural → 1,2-pentanediol". This material demonstrates strong substitution potential in fields such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, biodegradable materials, cosmetics, etc., thanks to its zero burden advantage in non grain biomass environments. The factory can achieve the conversion of over 2 million tons of agricultural residual resources annually, Compared to traditional petroleum based carbon reduction of about 75%, reshaping the green value chain with the power of technology.
